Thompson: History of Inappropriate Behavior

Not only did John “Hugo” Thompson make comments in Hugo on August 15th saying he doesn’t have a problem with Hugo burning down. Clearly, he doesn’t have a problem with any city burning down. New video has surfaced from July 2020. Here is a video of him saying, “it’s time to stop the peaceful protests.” He is apparently fine with Falcon Height and St Anthony burning down as well.

This is not a man you want as a law maker in the state of Minnesota. What will be left of our communities and small businesses if we let John “Hugo” Thompson run the streets?

This man hates average Minnesotans and suburbs.
“Believe it or not, the fires can come to Falcon Heights, the fires can come to St. Anthony,” Thompson warned at a rally.
Thompson also threatened to forcibly remove politicians from office. “We snatched down Christopher Columbus, we can snatch some of these racist ass politicians out of office,” he said, apparently referencing the organized attack against a Columbus statue at the State Capitol in June.

The video below is from 3 years ago as John Thompson testified in front of a MN House Committee (Public safety) and calls Representative Zerwas and another member of the committee a White Supremacist. This is the guy running for MN House in 67A (East St. Paul).

Last month he threatened to burn down Hugo, MN, screamed at young women and made many threats.

Footage shows Thompson’s wondering why protesters “were so peaceful.” He then told a man holding a blue lives matter sign to “take that sign” and “stick it in [his] ass.”

“We coming for everything that you motherf–ers took from us,” he added. “This whole [vulgarity] state burned down for 20 [vulgarity] dollars. You think we give a f– about burning Hugo down?” via @alphanewsmn

He has a clear history of labeling people he doesn’t know based on the the color of their skin. This is racism and this behavior is unacceptable.

The word has to get spread again and again that Governor Walz, Senator Hawj and other DFL elected leaders endorsed and still stand by Thompson.

Just in case you missed it, here’s the video of him in Hugo, Minnesota.

Earlier in the protest, Thompson threatened to burn down the city of Hugo and vowed to come for “everything you motherf–ers took from us.”
“This whole [vulgarity] state burned down for 20 [vulgarity] dollars. You think we give a f– about burning Hugo down?” he added.
